Associate Solicitor (Patent)
Brian Racilla joined the Solicitor’s Office in 2010 after approximately 11 years in private practice at Fish & Richardson P.C. in Washington D.C. focusing on patent litigation in various district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Federal Circuit.
Brian holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. At the Solicitor’s Office, Brian specializes in patent term adjustment matters, design patents, third-party discovery requests, prosecution laches, and implementation of the supplemental examination and first-inventor-to-file provisions of the America Invents Act.
